Not Cancer

imageSorry for the delay in Bentley’s update, but we got the results back from his recent biopsy and it was NOT CANCER! Even though it looked like his first tumor this one was apparently some type of inflammation or fungus. This means his chemo is working and the cancer is not spreading. I am beyond happy that he still has a fighting chance to beat this histiocystic sarcoma! He has however been a bit more tired lately, which worries me a bit but we are taking it easy with less walks and more cuddles.

  1. This is great news! Keeping you and beautiful Bentley in my thoughts and prayers and sending healing hugs.

  2. I am sooooo happy to read this update! I have been thinking and praying for Bentley since I saw your last update and am so relieved that it is not the awful “c” word and that he is healing well! I think all of us going through this worry the most about if, when and where it will spread. Good thing is dogs are fighting and winning every day! I pray Bentley will be a success story!

  3. I’m not always in the blogs, so sorry that I didn’t see your last one until today! When Murphy finished his CCNU, the oncologist found another lump on his left shoulder blade. They biopsied it & of course it was inconclusive. They offered to try another type of chemo since it had grown during the CCNU, but we declined. We decided that that was enough. So we started follow-up x-rays. 3 months later – no change. A few months after that, still no change. Well, now it’s been almost 3 years since they found that lump & Murphy’s still hopping around! We haven’t done x-rays since last fall, so maybe we’ll do some again pretty soon, but he’s happy, eating, and acting fine. He doesn’t appear to be in any pain and that lump never did grow any more!
